STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Board of Control conducted its December meeting at the executive offices today.
Among the action items approved by the Board were the 2017-18 independent audit report provided by BDO, general fund statements, general fund payments, the deferred liability fund report for September, as well as the 2019-20 meeting dates calendar.
Topics discussed by the Board included an update on the conference realignment task force, football-only conference realignment, school safety committee involvement, residential school status, transitioning from single-gender schools and a review of the fall tournaments.
The Board also received liaison reports from John Ashley of the Wisconsin Association of School Boards, Todd Sobrilsky of the Wisconsin Athletic Directors Association and Pam Foegen of the National Federation of State High School Associations Board of Directors.
The membership of the WIAA oversees interscholastic athletic programs for 511 senior high schools and 46 junior high/middle level schools in its membership.
