Dominican will attempt to become just the second program to win four consecutive State championships Saturday in its Division 4 match-up with Mineral Point.

The Knights displayed an awesome offensive arsenal to roll to a 93-54 victory over previously undefeated Regis in the Division 4 semifinal. 

The 93 points sets a Division 4 State Tournament record for points in a game. The 39 field goals made by the Knights also set a divisional record. Dominican shot 61 percent in the first half and outscored the Ramblers 18-3 in the final six minutes of the first half to take a commanding 50-25 lead into the locker room. 

The closest the Ramblers would get in the second half was 23. The Knights led by as many as 44 points in the fourth quarter to cruise to the win.

Diamond Stone led the Knights with 33 points on 15-of-20 shooting to go with 15 rebounds and four blocked shots. Austin Moutry provided a spark from the perimeter, netting 16 points while hitting 4-of-5 three-pointers. Tywon Bressler added 13 points, and Garrison Goode tossed in 10.

Billy Wampler was the leader for the Ramblers, scoring a team-high 19 points with eight rebounds. Logan Rohrscheib contributed with 16 points.

Mineral Point (27-0) remains undefeated and will attempt to derail the Knights’ quest for a fourth straight championship following its 66-59 win over Auburndale (19-8) in its Division 4 semifinal game.

Auburndale jumped out to an early 8-0 lead in the game and led by as many as 10 in the first quarter, but the Pointers went on a 10-0 run in the second quarter to grab a 22-20 their first lead at 22-20 with 5:38 in the first half. 

Mineral Point ceased control of the lead late in the third quarter after the two teams went into the locker room tied at 29-29. A three-pointer by Turner Poad with 1:49 remaining in the period stretched the Pointer lead to nine at 46-37. The Pointers led by as many as 14 in the fourth quarter before the Apaches cut their deficit to six with 37 seconds to play but could get no closer the rest of the way.

Terek Oellerich led all scorers and rebounders with 23 points and 11 caroms for the Pointers. Poad added 17 points, and Alec Schmitz chipped in with 12. The Apaches, who shot .605 from the field in the game, were led by Alex Marth and Cooper Krings, each had 14 points.

Mineral Point returns to the final for first time since finishing runner-up in Class C in 1974.
