The match-ups for the finals have been determined for the three divisions of the 25th Annual State Team Wrestling Tournament Saturday at the UW Field House.
In Division 2, Wisconsin Lutheran earned a berth in the finals by defeating River Valley 33-30 in a match that came down to the final bout to determine the winner. The Vikings will dual Ellsworth, which is making its third straight appearance in the title match after finishing runner-up last year and winning the crown in 2014. The Panthers were 36-25 victors over Two Rivers in the semifinals.
Stratford defeated last year’s champion Spring Valley/Elmwood to advance to the finals in Division 3 with a 43-26 decision in the semifinals. Fennimore will make its first appearance in the State finals. The Golden Eagles won the first three bouts and the final eight matches to post a 43-26 victory over Random Lake.
On Friday, defending Division 1 champion Kaukauna advanced to the final in an attempt to retain its title. Stoughton, last year’s runner-up, will try to gain revenge and dethrone the champions.
The finals are scheduled for Saturday at 3 p.m.
