The Volleyball Coaches Advisory Committee made a proposal to the WIAA Board of Control for new language regarding the voting procedure for regional or half-sectional bracket groupings in Divisions 2-3-4. This process was approved and implemented for the 2017 season. (click here) 

Division 2 – 83 of 116 schools voted (last year 30 schools voted)
Division 3 – 98 of 121 schools voted (last year 30 schools voted)
Division 4 – 91 of 121 schools voted (last year 32 schools voted)

Only 2 Sectional groupings (Division 2) had a majority of schools vote to split into the smaller, regional groupings. All other Sectionals in Division 2-3-4 voted to retain the larger, half-sectional grouping.
