Marquette won the State Boys Volleyball Championship with a 21-25, 25-20, 23-25, 25-22, 15-12 victory over Germantown in the tournament final played at Wisconsin Lutheran College in Milwaukee Saturday.

Germantown gained a 2-1 advantage in the match by closing the third set with an 8-6 advantage.

Marquette went on a four-point run to break an 11-11 tie in the fourth set and never relinquished the lead to send the match to a deciding fifth set. With the fifth set tied 12-12, The Hilltoppers got a kill from Joe Coplan, an ace from Donald Foley and a block from Coplan and Eaven Mason to win the set and match.
