KOHLER, Wis. – More than a three-hour weather delay caused a shortened round of play at the 2020 Girls Golf Championships at Blackwolf Run in Kohler, Wis. Monday.
The first day of the two-day tournament was shortened to nine holes. Play will resume Tuesday at 8:30 a.m.
Last year's runner-up Brookfield Central is the Division 1 team leader at +30. Tomah is second at +38, and Arrowhead is third with a score of +40. Kylie Walker of Westosha Central is the individual leader in Division 1 after the first day of competition with a 1-over-par 37. Kyley Wipper of Brookfield Central is in second, three strokes back at +4. Elise Hoven of Cedarburg and Brin Neumann of Tomah are tied for third at +5.
Prescott leads the Division 2 team leaderboard at +42, which is six strokes ahead of two-time defending champion Edgewood and nine strokes better than The Prairie School. Ashley Stanislawski of Catholic Memorial leads the Division 2 field after the first day. She shot a 4-over-par 40. Sophia Lawler of The Prairie School is a stroke behind in second, and Ava Salay of Prescott is third at +6.
