Neenah, Edgewood Win Girls Team Tennis Titles

Neenah and Edgewood captured State Girls Team Tennis championships Saturday at the Nielsen Tennis Stadium in Madison, Wis.

Neenah (17-1) edged Brookfield East (19-5) 4-3 to win the Division 1 title. The Rockets won it on the strength of their doubles play, sweeping all three flights.  

The Crusaders (18-1) blanked Altoona (16-5) 7-0 in the final to win the Division 2 team championship. They finished runner-up last year after winning their first team title in 2013.

State Girls Team Tennis Tournament Preview

The 22nd Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Girls Team Tennis Tournament will be held Friday and Saturday, Oct. 23-24. The meet takes place at the Nielsen Tennis Stadium on the University of Wisconsin campus in Madison, Wis. Action will begin at 5:30 p.m. Friday and will resume Saturday at 9 a.m. Admission is $6 for adults and students.

State Girls Tennis Singles & Doubles Teams Crowned

Champions were crowned for individuals and doubles teams in two divisions at the WIAA State Individual Tennis Tournament at Nielsen Tennis Stadium in Madison Saturday.

Top Seeds Advance to Girls Tennis Semifinals

The second day of the 2015 State Girls Individual Tennis Tournament advanced singles and doubles contenders to the State semifinals.
