Homestead and Edgewood were crowned champions at the State Girls Team Tennis Tournament at Nielsen Tennis Stadium in Madison Saturday.
It was the sixth title for the Highlanders and the first since 2012, which was the last year of five-year string of championships. They defeated defending champion Neenah 4-3 in the title match. Homestead (27-0) notched victories by Katya Mikhailenko, Andie Weise and Jamie Gehardt at the #1, #2 and #4 singles postions, respectively.
The Highlanders' doubles win came at the #2 flight with the tandem of Alyssa Boyer and Bridget Brown.
The Rockets lone singles victory was posted by Hannah Dorsey at #3. Kiki Risgaard and partner Christina Price won at the #1 doubles position after winning the State doubles title last weekend, and Mairin Kearny and Ava Asbury won their match at #3 doubles.
It is the fifth time Neenah (15-4) has finished runner-up for the team title. The four previous second-place finsihes came in 1983, 1986, 2000 and 2014.

Edgewood (18-0) wins its second consecutive team championship in Division 2 and its third in the last four seasons. The Crusaders rolled to a 7-0 triumph over Regis (23-6) in the title match.
Emma Sango, Jessica Inman, Brita Hovde and Julia Hess each won their singles matches at the #1 through #4 flights, respectively. In doubles play, Abby Fox and Maddie Molitor won at the #1 position after taking gold at last week’s individual championships. Grace Drake and Claire Stein, and Kinsey Kessel and Lizzie Drake completed the sweep by winning at the #2 and #3 doubles flights, respectively.
It was the third team championship for the Crusaders, also winning in 2013 and last season. The Rambers finish runner-up for the first time, advancing to the championship match for the first time in six State Tournament appearances.
