Michael Christianson of Aquinas won two events in 2011, the 1,600 and 3,200 runs. He is back in the qualifying field in each of those events to challenge for those crowns. His pace currently ranks second among the qualifying times in the 3,200 and fifth among the 1,600 qualifiers. The Monroe 3,200 relay team is attempting to win the event for the third straight time.
