UPDATED ADAPTATIONS
Please be aware that the Track & Field Adaptations have been revised to include language regarding the role of the jury of appeals as it relates to possible re-runs of races. If you have already printed the adaptations you should reprint the updated copy for your rule book.
Be aware that this language only applies in situations where an actual jury of appeals has been appointed. In feedback from coaches, it appears that juries are appointed at large invitational meets, conference meets, and the WIAA tournament series, where it is required. If there isn't a jury the meet referees decision stands. A hastily assembled jury, created only when a controversy arises, is not acceptable.
The meet referee must still make the decision regarding the re-run but it is now possible for a coach to appeal the decision to the jury.
