Franklin Co-op, Whitefish Bay Win Fourth Straight Gymnastics Team Titles

WISCONSIN RAPIDS, Wis. – A pair of perennial powers won their fourth straight team titles at the 2019 State Gymnastics Championships Friday at the Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln Field House.

2025 State Gymnastics Championships Preview

STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The 49th Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Gymnastics State Championships will take place Friday and Saturday, March 1-2, at Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln High School in Wisconsin Rapids, Wis. The team championships will begin Friday at 2 p.m. The individual competition will begin at 11:30 a.m. Saturday.

Franklin Co-op, Whitefish Bay Win 3rd Straight Gymnastics Team Titles

A pair of perennial powers won their third straight team titles at the 2018 State Gymnastics Championships Friday at the Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln Field House.

The co-op program of Franklin/Muskego/Oak Creek/Whitnall won its third straight Division 1 championship with a final team score of 147.833. It is the program’s seventh championship overall. Arrowhead finished runner-up with a four-event score of 144.4667, and the Burlington/Badger/Catholic Central/Wilmot Co-op was third with a score of 143.0667.
 

Krueger Wins Four Gymnastics Individual Titles

The 2018 State Gymnastics Championships concluded with the crowning of individual champions in four events and an all-around competition in two divisions Saturday in Wisconsin Rapids.

Senior Samantha Krueger of River Falls highlighted the Division 2 individual competition. She won three events and the all-around, compiling a four-event score of 36.950. She placed third in the all-around last season and fourth in 2016. 

Winter Team Tournament Sportsmanship Award Winners Named

The Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association, in cooperation with Rural Mutual Insurance, has chosen the recipients of the team Sportsmanship Awards for the 2018 winter State Tournaments. The winners of the prestigious sportsmanship recognition are Valders in boys basketball, Marshall in girls basketball, D.C. Everest Co-op in girls hockey, Hudson in gymnastics and Ellsworth in team wrestling.
