Kaukauna, Amery & Mineral Point Earn State Team Wrestling Titles

STEVENS POINT, Wis. – Kaukauna, Amery and Mineral Point were crowned of the 2021 State Team Wrestling Tournaments held at three different locations Saturday.

Hudson, St. Mary's Springs Win Boys Hockey Titles, Chippewa Wins Girls Crown

WISCONSIN RAPIDS, Wis. – Two boys champions and a girls champion were crowned at the 2021 State Hockey Tournament Saturday at South Wood County Rink. 

Purchasing 2021 Boys & Girls Basketball State Tournament Tickets

Tickets for admission to the 2021 WIAA Girls Basketball State Tournament will first be offered to the State-qualifying schools. Any unsold tickets will be offered to the general public later in the week.

Bill to Protect Sports Officials Gains Renewed Legislative Support

STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association is expressing its support of a reintroduced bill in the legislature that would make it a Class A misdemeanor to harass or intimidate a sports official in response to action taken or with intent to influence a referee, umpire, judge or anyone serving similar functions.

STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The 30th Annual Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association State Team Wrestling Tournament will take place Saturday, Feb. 20. The tournament will held at three different sites.

State Boys & Girls Hockey Tournaments Preview

STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The 51st Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Boys Hockey State Tournament and the 20th Girls Hockey State Tournament will take place Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday, Feb. 17-18 & 20. The championship finals for both boys divisions and the girls tournament will be held at South Wood County Rink in Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.

STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The 78th Annual State Individual Wrestling Tournament produced 42 champions Saturday, including the 19th wrestler to win four championships.

Individuals Compete for State Wrestling Titles Saturday

STEVENS POINT, Wis.  The 78th State Individual Wrestling Tournament is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 13. The Division 1 tournament will be held at Kaukauna High School. The Division 2 tournament will be conducted at Adams-Friendship High School with the Division 3 tournament held at Wausau East High School.

Task Force Conducts Modified Marinette Realignment Plan Review

STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Conference Realignment Task Force Committee advanced a Marinette plan, which was modified at its Jan. 6 meeting, to the Board of Control meeting for final consideration on Friday, March 5.

Religious Headwear Permitted Without Approval Among Volleyball Rule Changes

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — High school volleyball players will no longer need to obtain state association approval to wear religious headwear during competition. The rule change highlights three changes approved for the 2021-22 season.
