Task Force Conducts Appeals and Amends Football & Lacrosse Realignment Plans

STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Conference Realignment Task Force convened Thursday to hear appeals of the preliminary solutions for the football and lacrosse realignment requests reviewed in December.

Wisconsin Cross Country Coaches Receive National Honor

STEVENS POINT, Wis. – Kevin Hopp, boys co-head coach at Stevens Point Area Senior High and Terrence Krall, girls co-head coach at Slinger High School were two of 24 recipients of the 2023-24 National Coaches of the Year by the National Federation of High School Associations.

Peggy Seegers-Braun named Green Bay Packers Athletic Director of the Year

The Green Bay Packers, in conjunction with the WIAA and the InSideOut Initiative, have announced that Peggy Seegers-Braun of Divine Savior Holy Angels High School in Milwaukee, Wis., has been named the first-ever recipient of the Green Bay Packers Athletic Director of the Year award.

Shafranski Announces Retirement from Assistant Director Position

STEVENS POINT, Wis. – Assistant Director Tom Shafranski announced his retirement from the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association to the executive staff Thursday to be effective Feb. 7, 2025.

Performance Factor Update Leads to Additional Fall Divisional Movement

STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association performance factor initiative has advanced through the process for the second year with a review of the fall sports to be effective in 2025. This update includes four sport programs that were inadvertently not listed in the initial release identifying the divisional movements.
