Challenges of Downtime from Sports

Whether it is fourth-and-goal or down by five points with one minute left in the game, sports is filled with challenging situations. As coronavirus disease (COVID-19) continues to spread, the lives of youth athletes will be met with many more challenges.

UW-Madison Event Cancellations Impact WIAA Spring Tournaments

STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Madison announced it is extending the cancellation of campus events through June 30, 2020, which eliminates the possibility of conducting the WIAA spring State Tournaments scheduled at campus venues this spring.

Board Cancels Annual Meeting; Postpones Decision on Spring Sports Seasons

STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Board of Control voted to cancel the 2020 Annual Meeting and to delay making a determination on the continuation or cancellation of the spring sports seasons and tournaments at a special meeting today.

Boys Basketball 3-Point Challenge Qualifiers Honored

Due to the cancelation of all remaining winter sports seasons, which included the 2020 WIAA Boys & Girls 3-Point Challenges, the WIAA Board of Control and executive staff is honoring all 10 girls contest finalists, as well as the 13 boys that were still in contention for a spot in the contest.
